Frequently asked questions

Is this a free event?

Yes – it is free to join this walk but we are hoping to raise money from sponsorship. Why not ask for sponsorship from friends and family or join as a group and perhaps your church could sponsor you. We would be very grateful if you could help SparkFish raise some much needed funds!

What should I bring?

Please bring whatever you would normally take on a walk of this distance. Think about sturdy shoes, appropriate clothes, water and a snack to keep your energy up. Please also consider bringing a first aid kit although SparkFish will have kits at the start, mid point and end of the walk.

Can I walk as a group?

Yes! Why not walk as a church or a school or a group of friends. The more the merrier! If you are the lead booker, please register the names of anyone else that might be walking with you so we have an indication of how many people will be joining us.

What happens if it rains?

We will walk whether it is sunny, raining or even snowing! However, if for some reason the walk cannot go ahead, we will contact you as soon as possible.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, well behaved dogs are welcomed.
